4. Description of Services
Real Brides Magazine operates an online wedding-planning platform offering: editorial content, a vendor directory, planning tools (budgets, timelines, guest lists, seating charts), a public guest invite page, a gift registry catalogue, and an optional one-time Premium upgrade. We are not a payment service, money remitter, escrow agent or financial institution. We do not hold or move funds on behalf of users or their guests.
5. Prices & Payment
The Premium upgrade is a one-time, per-wedding payment. The current price is displayed on the Premium screen and is quoted in South African Rand (ZAR), inclusive of any applicable VAT. Payments are processed by PayFast (DPO Group SA (Pty) Ltd), a registered South African payment service provider. Real Brides does not receive, transmit or store full card numbers, CVV codes, or banking PINs.
6. Cooling-off & Refunds
Section 44 of the ECT Act gives consumers a 7-day cooling-off right for goods or services purchased electronically, subject to the exceptions in s42. Because the Premium upgrade unlocks digital services that begin immediately on payment, it is generally excluded from the cooling-off right once access has been granted. If you believe you are entitled to a refund — for example because of a duplicate charge or a technical failure — contact support within 7 days of the transaction and we will investigate and process a refund where appropriate.
7. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve complaints within 14 business days of receipt. To log a complaint, email support@realbridesmagazine.co.za with a description of the issue and any relevant transaction reference. If you are not satisfied with the outcome you may refer the matter to:
• The Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) — cgso.org.za
• The National Consumer Commission (NCC) under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008
