By registering for an account, browsing the Platform, or otherwise using our services you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform. By using the Platform you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

Real Brides Magazine is a bridal-focused publication and planning platform. While our editorial content is centred on the bridal experience, we wholeheartedly welcome and invite participation from all people regardless of sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, spiritual belief system, age, disability, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

We honour and celebrate the rich diversity of love and commitment. Our community includes couples and individuals of every background, and we are dedicated to creating a space where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued.

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, hate speech, or any form of prejudice on the Platform. Any user who engages in discriminatory or hateful conduct may have their account suspended or terminated without notice.

All features of the Platform — including wedding planning tools, vendor directories, guest management, budget tracking, and community features — are available to every registered user on an equal basis. Vendors listed on our marketplace agree to provide their services without discrimination on the basis of any protected characteristic.

If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination by another user or vendor on the Platform, please contact us immediately at support@realbridesmagazine.co.za so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

You agree not to:

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform (photos, text, reviews, etc.). By posting content, you grant Real Brides a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with the Platform and our promotional materials. You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you post and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

Weddings submitted for editorial consideration are reviewed at our sole discretion. By submitting your wedding, you grant Real Brides the right to feature your wedding on our Platform and social media channels. All couples — regardless of gender, race, religion, or background — are encouraged to submit and will be evaluated on the same editorial criteria.

Vendors listed on the Platform are independent businesses and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Real Brides. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any vendor's products, services, or conduct. Any transaction between you and a vendor is solely between those parties.

Vendors must comply with all applicable laws, including anti-discrimination legislation. Vendor accounts may be suspended or removed if we become aware of discriminatory practices.

Certain features of the Platform are available only with a Premium upgrade, which is offered as a one-time, per-wedding payment. The current price is displayed on the Premium screen and may change at our discretion; changes do not affect purchases already made.

Payments are processed by PayFast, a South African payment gateway. By completing a payment you agree to PayFast's terms and privacy policy. Real Brides does not store your card details. All payments are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Premium upgrades are non-refundable once access has been granted, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you experience a technical issue with a payment, contact us at support@realbridesmagazine.co.za.

The Platform includes a referral programme and a gamification system (XP, levels, achievements) that may unlock discounts or other rewards. Participation is voluntary. Rewards have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.

Referral rewards are credited only for genuine new registrations that meet our eligibility criteria. Self-referrals, bulk or fraudulent referrals, and any attempt to manipulate the XP or referral system are prohibited and may result in account suspension.

Discount codes and promotional rewards issued by Real Brides are subject to any conditions stated at the time of issue (including expiry dates, single-use limits, and minimum purchase requirements). Codes are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated. We reserve the right to revoke codes that have been obtained or used fraudulently.

The Platform allows you to create a public invite page for your wedding. By publishing an invite page you acknowledge that the information you choose to include — such as couple names, wedding date, venue, cover photo, and personal message — will be accessible to anyone with the link, without requiring a login.

You are responsible for the content you publish on your invite page. Do not include sensitive personal information you would not wish to share publicly. You may unpublish or update your invite page at any time. Real Brides is not responsible for any information that was shared while the page was publicly accessible.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa. We are committed to protecting your data and will never sell your personal information to third parties.

All Platform content, branding, logos, design elements, and software are the intellectual property of Real Brides Magazine or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any Platform content without our prior written consent.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Real Brides and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Real Brides, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall continue in effect.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
